Our Story

My Home Inn began from a simple, profound admiration for Japan.

Long before we were business owners, we were travelers. We felt deeply attracted to the culture, the history, and the quiet sense of consideration and respect that defines everyday life here. The more time we spent in Japan, the more we realized the country offered something far deeper than the popular tourist destinations often show. There was a richness in ordinary local life that could only be understood by slowing down and experiencing it firsthand.

With that feeling, we made the decision to build our future in Japan.

As foreigners, we moved our assets from our home country and began a new life here with little more than determination, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. During this journey, we became increasingly aware of a different reality—beautiful homes and buildings being left abandoned as rural communities faced the challenges of aging populations. We felt saddened to see places with so much history and character being forgotten.

We wanted to contribute in our own way. That idea became the beginning of My Home Inn.

Instead of building something entirely new, we searched for existing properties that could be given a second life. We hoped to transform underused spaces into welcoming accommodations while bringing visitors into local communities. To us, hospitality is not just about providing a place to sleep; it is about creating opportunities for people to connect with the atmosphere, culture, and everyday rhythm of the places they visit.

We believe the most meaningful side of Japan is often found in ordinary moments: shopping at a neighborhood supermarket, preparing meals with local ingredients, driving through quiet streets, or participating in regional festivals that carry generations of history and tradition.

To truly experience Japan is not only to visit it, but to live within its rhythm, even if only for a short time.
